The relaxing wallpapers will allow you to work significantly more relaxed on your Mac. Some of the other videos are thrilling and a nice visual effect for your desktop.

If this still is not enough, you can even select a screensaver as wallpaper. For instance your iTunes album covers will be animated as wallpaper.

We are continuously improving the application and keep adding new functions. If you have any feature requests or criticism, let us know!

Lyrica is the ultimate lyrics app. It makes the searching and adding of lyrics to songs from your iTunes library as fast, simple and easy as possible!

The app automatically searches and displayes the right lyrics of the currently playing song. To make sure that Lyrica finds the appropriate lyrics, we added seven databases, the app searches through. With Lyrica 2 will also improved the overall search engine, so nearly every lyrics will be found.

You can also select an iTunes playlist and the app will download all the lyrics and add them to the songs from the playlist.

But there is one more feature: Even if you only remember a small text passage of a song, Lyrica will find the song.

With Lyrica 2 we introducing a complete new user interface that lets you enjoy using the app.

Here is a overview of the 3 main functions of Lyrica:

• It shows and adds the lyrics of the currently playing song
• It adds all lyrics to songs from a selected iTunes playlist

Belive it or not, but we submitted already our next update 2.1. The following new features will be included in 2.1:

• Edit lyrics manually
• Print lyrics
• Set the window level
• See/export a list of all the songs where the lyrics could be/could be not found in the playlist function
• Optional: Classical music detection
• Optional: Display Lyrica news at launch, if available
• “Search through the entire music library” searches now only lyrics for music

Ich habe mich zu diesem Thema schon vor einigen Tagen in einem deutschen Mac-Forum geäußert und werde jetzt nochmals zu diesem Thema Stellung nehmen, da sich meine und eure Vermutungen bewahrheitet haben.

Mich haben User auf Twitter gefragt, ob die Videostreams, die im TVBoy verwendet werden, aus der BlickTV-App (Schweizer Fernseh-App) entwendet wurden und dies ist leider (wenn auch für mich lange Zeit unbewusst) der Fall. Zur Vorgeschichte:

Vor vielen Wochen sind insgesamt 17 Links zu Videostreams in einem Forum erschienen. Es war damals noch nicht klar, woher die Streams stammten, aber wenigstens funktionierten sie viele Wochen ohne Probleme. Irgendwann dachte ich mir, dass ich diese Streams gerne schön mobil auf meinem iPhone und iPad schauen möchte und programmierte mir deswegen eine iOS-App. Wenig später erkannte ich schon das Potential dieser App und überlegte, ob ich sie über den AppStore verkaufen sollte. Ich wiederhole noch mal: Zu diesem Zeitpunkt wusste ich noch nicht, dass die Streams einer anderen App (BlickTV) entwendet wurden. Ich wusste nur, dass die Links schon seit einer langen Zeit funktionierten und war deswegen zuversichtlich, dass sie auch in Zukunft funktionieren werden.

Nun kam in der letzen Woche heraus, dass Streams aus der BlickTV-App illegal veröffentlicht wurden und selbst Blogs wie der iPhone-Ticker.de verlinkten diese  Videostreams. Mir wurde sofort bewusst, dass es die gleichen Streams sind, die ich auch im TVBoy verwende und das ich mich mit der Veröffentlichung der App strafbar machen würde.

Deswegen kann und werde ich TVBoy in der jetzigen Form nicht veröffentlichen!

So leid es mir tut, ich möchte mich und euch einfach nicht strafbar machen. Nun lässt sich natürlich überlegen, dass ich selber solche Streams anbieten könnte. Ich habe mich zwar nicht so eindeutig mit dem Thema beschäftigt, aber folgende Probleme würden sich Stellen:

• Streaming-Kosten: Die Streaming-Kosten bzw. die Lizenzen zum Streamen sind in Deutschland unverschämt hoch. Ähnlich der MobilTV-App von der Telekom müsste ich dann monatlich viel Geld von euch verlangen. – Das kann und darf nicht sein! Ich möchte, dass ein günstiges Fernsehschauen auf mobilen Geräten möglich ist, ohne das man unverschämt viel Geld zahlen muss. Denn genau das hält die meisten doch vom Fernsehschauen auf mobilen Geräten ab und lässt das mobile Schauen ein Privileg der halbwegs wohlhabenden Gesellschaft werden.
• Einige Privat-Sender sträuben sich gar, überhaupt Streams anzubieten. Dieses Problem scheint besonders in Deutschland verbreitet zu sein, da die rechtliche Lage hier natürlich nicht ganz einfach ist.

Ich kann euch noch nicht sagen, wie die Zukunft vom TVBoy aussehen wird. Es würden sich für mich zwei Möglichkeiten anbieten: Entweder veröffentliche ich den Source-Code der App (ohne Streaming-Links), damit ihr wenigstens noch ein kleines bisschen von der App habt oder ich versuche mich dafür einzusetzen, dass sich die Lage des mobilen Fernsehschauens verbessert. Dazu müsste ich mich mit den Fernsehsender in Kontakt setzen, ein Kompromiss finden, mit den alle Sender zufrieden sind und ein Konzept entwickeln, das für alle aufgeht. – Die Fernsehsender haben doch damit auch eine neue Plattform, auf dem sie ihre Fernsehwerbung ausstrahlen können…

Ich entschuldige mich bei BlickTV bzw. der Ringier AG, deren Streams ich unwissend, aber dennoch illegal, verwendet habe. Außerdem entschuldige ich mich bei euch, da ich euch allen falsche Hoffnung gegeben habe!

P.S: Gerade im jetzigen Moment, wo die Streams nicht mehr funktionieren (BlickTV hat die Streams vor wenigen Stunden abgeschaltet), kommt TVBoy in den “In Review” Prozess. Ein App-Kontrolleur testet also die App. Ich freue mich schon auf die Email, in der steht, was an meiner App alles nicht funktioniert. Was für eine Ironie…

Update: Christian behauptet, dass die Links von Swisscom TV Air stammen. Im Internet spricht man jedoch die meiste Zeit von BlickTV’s Streams… Falls die Streams von Swisscom TV Air stammen, entschuldige ich mich auch bei Swisscom.

Endlich ist es soweit und ich kann euch die zweite App von MuffinStory vorstellen.

Bei der App handelt es sich um (den) TVBoy. Es ist eine App, mit der es möglich ist, über 17 deutsche Fernsehsender live schauen zu können. Endlich ist das Problem gelöst, in Deutschland nicht vernünftig Fernsehen auf dem iPhone zu schauen!

Die App ist aber nicht nur für das iPhone, sondern auch noch für das iPad erhältlich. Der Clou: Man bezahlt für beide Versionen nur einmal! – Es ist eine Universal App, dass heißt, dass in der App die iPhone- und iPadversion integriert ist.

Die App lässt sich nur im deutschen AppStore kaufen, da es sonst zu lizenzrechtlichen Problemen kommen könnte. Folgende Sender sind beim Start vorhanden: MTV, Viva, Eurosport, SuperRTL, Sport 1, DMAX, 3sat, SF 1+2, Vox, Kabel eins, Sat.1, RTL II, RTL, ProSieben, ZDF und ARD.

Ich kann leider nicht versichern, dass die App lange im AppStore erhältlich ist. Die rechtliche Lage zum Thema “Internetstreaming von Fernsehsendern” ist leider nicht ganz schlüssig und leicht und so kann die App jeder Zeit aus dem AppStore entfernt werden (weil z.b. ein Fernsehsender einschreitet).

Jedoch versuche ich sicherzustellen, dass die Streams auch nach der möglichen Entfernung der App funktionieren. So muss sich der Käufer der App keine Sorgen machen, dass er/sie umsonst Geld ausgegeben hat.

Der Rauswurf der App wäre auch dahingehend kein großer Verlust für mich, da ich die App ursprünglich sowieso nur für mich programmiert habe. Erst recht spät habe ich das Potential für die Veröffentlichung im AppStore gesehen. Außerdem steckt in dieser App im Vergleich zu Written. wenig Arbeit.

Doch was kostet der Spaß? Einmalige 1,59€!! (Jetzt stelle ich mir diesen Effekt von Steve Jobs’ Keynote vor, sobald ein Preis mit einer Wucht in die Präsentation fällt ;)

Die App wurde bereits eingereicht und sollte vermutlich nächste Woche erscheinen.

A free update for next week to add support for a global ranking is in progress.

The update will contain recognition for hardware keyboards in order to keep the ranking fair.

Make sure not to miss this App if you want to spend your time in a fun and unique way. After all you will even notice that your typing skills will have improved. Due to the ease of playing you will not feel as though you are learning but experience a great time.

In order to motivate the user we added the ability to unlock game modes. The game will strain you skills and challenge you to keep playing!
